Without doubt, the key piece for spring/summer 2007 is the tunic. Easy, romantic, soft and drapey fabrics that can be worn as minis or with skinny pants or leggings underneath, just like the new music artists.
Metallics - hot and sparkle - are in! Gold, silver and bronze are everywhere from shimmery boleros, jackets and coats to bangles, belts, leather purses and sandals. Futuristic, structured shapes in vinyls, patent, plastic and metalics give a “cosmic” air to jackets, skirts, dresses and leggings. Black, white, gold and silver lead the way.
Safari has gone glam! New rounded shapes for jackets, both long and short, and new sexy shirt dresses with an 80s feel in neutral beiges, camel, chocolate and khaki.
Floral prints blossom everywhere! Mini dresses and tunics with large blossoms and appliqués bursting with colour by day, flowing maxi dresses with small, liberty style prints by night. Soft and flowing dresses, tunics and baby dolls create the atmosphere of bygone days in translucent chiffons, tulles, and organzas. Add a romantic bow and ruffle details in pastel beiges, blues, pinks and greys.
Hyper volume and oversized are the keywords in dresses, blouses, tops, jackets, trenches, anoraks and summer coats. Balloon skirts and dresses are still popular options.
Lemon, lime and orange scream summer this year as this season’s shades brighten up neutral palettes for both day and evening both in clothing and accessories.
Sportswear gets sophisticated in satin fabrics and shiny anoraks as well as super sexy in gold hot pants and slinky jumpsuits. Racer stripes rule on leggings tops and dresses.
Jewellery, sequins, studs, metallic discs and beaded bodices give a couture feeling to pr?t-a-porter.
